Who Are We?

SALAAM FOODS SRL was established in 2016, starting actual production activity in December 2018. The offices and production unit are located in Lugașu de Jos no. 284, 417315, Bihor county, Romania. The owner of the business is a UK-based company: Flying Trade LTD.

Salaam Foods’ field of activity is the production of frozen food products, namely pastries filled with various types of fillings and kebabs. All our products are Halal, the company and all meat suppliers are Halal certified.

Currently, our unit has 180 employees. The company initially acquired a plot of land of 13,589 sqm, while the production buildings are spread over 5,756 sqm. Technological equipment, freezers, warehouses and all working spaces are modern, made of stainless steel, using the latest technology in the food industry.

Our Objective

The objective of SALAAM FOODS SRL is to produce quality, safe, healthy and tasty food products. The company operates according to the highest standards and quality requirements, being BRC accredited. All our products are exported to the UK and Western Europe where they are sold through major retailers such as Tesco, Asda, Morrisons etc.

The company’s turnover has grown steadily every year, reaching 45,196,085 lei in 2022, while the daily production volume this year reached:

– 200,000 pieces of samosas and spring rolls per day
– 40,000 pieces of kebab per day

In the future, the construction of a cold store of approximately 1000 m2 is also desired (required power approximately 180 kw and probably an expansion of the production area in 3–4 years).

Our company has a plan to further expand its range of frozen products, to continuously develop and improve its products and processes, to meet the needs of the end consumer.
